Why Yes, I am a Healer

What gives you the right to call yourself a healer?
I am sure that is what many people are thinking when I tell them what I do, who I am.

We are brought up to look at people with medical training as the ones who can diagnose us and prescribe a remedy to alleviate our pain. I am not a medical doctor, but yes, I am a healer.

I know for some people it can be hard to digest, but keep an open mind as you read, then it may all make sense. Looking at healing with a different prospective may help you understand why many people refer to themselves as healers.

Let us look at the definition of heal
heal
hēl/
verb
gerund or present participle: healing
  1. (of a person or treatment) cause (a wound, injury, or person) to become sound or healthy again.
"his concern is to heal sick people"
synonyms:make better, make well, curetreat, restore to health More

    • become sound or healthy again.
"he would have to wait until his knee had healed"
synonyms:get better, get well, be cured, recovermendimprove
      "his knee had healed"
    • alleviate (a person's distress or anguish).
"time can heal the pain of grief"

As a child do you remember how your mother could make everything feel better? A little snug hug, a kiss on the forehead, or just having her hold you made the world seem so much better. She is a healer.

Have you ever called a friend or family member when you felt like things were falling apart and felt a little better after you talked to them? They are a healer.

Have you ever felt better by someones kindness, either in words, gestures, or touch, even from a stranger? They are a healer.

Have you been greeted by your pet at the end of a bad day and felt better after just seeing them or spending some time with them? They are a healer.

Did you know that you are a healer too? Everyone has the ability to be a conduit for healing energy. Have you been that friend who listened or just sat quietly with some one who was alone? Have you given a smile to a passing stranger and received a smile back? That was a healing gesture.

Everything that you do in your life that is done selflessly and with love, is an act of healing.
Now, you know that we are all energy and energy can run through us. I mentioned that you have the ability to be a conduit for healing energy, but what is healing energy? Now I am sure some poeple may disagree, but I can tell you from my journey to where I am now, healing energy is unconditional love.

When you move forward and ascend from ego, leaving behind emotions of lower vibrations, you become a lighter being and a better conduit for healing energy, which is basically unconditional love.

Do you know some one who is always refered to as being kind hearted; the person who lights up a room when they walk in the door or the one person everybody wants to be around? The healing energy flows stronger through them becasue they most likely live with love in their heart, unconditionally. This permits them to allow more energy to flow through them. Negative things are like gunk that clogs pipes. Water can't flow as fluid through a clogged pipe as it could through a pipe with less build up and things get backed up right? Now lets look at what something like this would look like in your body. If you allow everything that is the opposite of love to flow through you, it gets stuck on you and you get clogged up with bad energy and then you become physicaly ill. Do you see where I am going with this?

The human body is a perfect machine, a machine that works as a whole in the physical and in the ethereal. What manifests in your energy field will eventually manifest in the physical. Did you know it takes more energy to be angry than happy? Your purpose here is too important to expel your energy negativley. So take care of what you allow to flow through you. Choose to walk with love in your heart. Choose love and I promise you that you will experience life in a whole new way.
